Detox diet is really a good healthy diet and basically talks about healthy food. After finishing a 30 days detox, if they can maintain that diet 80-90% of the time they will be doing really well in terms with their diet. For those people who come in with a lot of complains with the diet lifestyle, it’s good for them to start with the detox diet. They will feel better faster and will make them start to jump into healthier eating program. This is the example of the meals for the detox diet.
Breakfast- For those people who want to go on the lighter side of diet, you need to have some fresh fruit and full of raw nuts is good. For people who need more protein in the morning you need some organic eggs prepared at low-heat, and hot cereal. Those are the example of how breakfast should be.
Lunch & Dinner- large raw salad and some protein whether its turkey, chicken, fresh fish, any of these things. You are going to combine a lot of vegetables with protein. When it comes to grains like rice and other whole grain it is allowed to have ½ – 1 cup of rice per day because what we have in focus is the lower starchy carbohydrates. High starch would be full of grains such as rice, bread, pasta, crackers and the like. By the way those things are excluding the detox diet.
The protein portion of your meal should be same as the size of your palm. That should be the guideline for the protein portion for your food. The vegetables like the non-starchy vegetable should have the portion of the food twice the size of your palm. Whether you’re having salad vegetable or whatever it is, your guideline is your palm. If you’re having a starchy vegetable like potatoes, squash, or any grain like; brown rice or pasta it should be an equal size of your protein portion. That is the visual guideline that helps people.
Detox diet there is potential to weight loss. It depends to a person of what kind of quality food that he or she’s going to eat. Some people will lose weight but some people don’t lose much but they feel better. It’s not really a diet..it’s a lifestyle.
